Search Engine Optimization Basics

This is the basics of search engine optimization to achieve an unfavorable high or low ranking is often done by bloggers who for political, personal or economic motives wish to manipulate search results. It has to some extent been used a special HTML attribute, rel = “nofollow” to prevent a site used for search engine optimization. This attribute indicates that the link should not be given weight by the search engines and are often used in conjunction with user-generated content.

A common technique that is curious but still used from time to time by bloggers is Google-bombing. A group of bloggers reviews and links to a page with a specific word. A familiar example is the search in Google for “miserable failure” which provides home to George W. Bush. Search Engine Optimization in this form was first described by blogger Adam Mather.

Websites are not easy to find out for a search engine. The site should become available, they could be found by the search engine, they must have such structure that the search engine is able to interpret them, the engine must be able to cache the result so that it can be presented to the user and the user of the search engine must be able to understand what the page conveys that search engine has made its results.

The first search engines that were made in the early 1990s, the engines that used the results of single words. This was a straightforward way when the web was small and the outcomes of a search corresponding small. This also had the beneficial effect that the indexes were moderate in size and that, therefore, be able to use machines that were easily accessible.

As the web grew in scope were made several attempts to create models to rank pages, indices became more complex and the generation of search results heavier. This means that the search engine results is a balance between what is technically possible against what is practically feasible with the available computing power.

Search engine optimization is a set of methods to make Web pages more accessible to “crawl bot” to search engines, in order to get better ranking, and in order to achieve this using a knowledge of how search engines work, and to some extent known issues and weaknesses in some of the search engines.

Indexing fine called too often for a “spider” or a “webcrawler” and is an automated program that retrieves pages and systematizes them. Advanced search engines can often consist of several such automated programs that exchange information among themselves and save the results in large databases.
